This is an on-site position, all applicants must physically live in Ontario, Canada, with legal status to work in Canada.
We seek a MILLWRIGHT JOURNEYPERSON to join our dynamic and ever-growing team. As a certified Millwright with Arcadian Projects, you will report to the Multi-trade Service Manager, work alongside other experienced trades and have the chance to mentor apprentices. You will have the opportunity to work within multiple sectors including industrial, commercial and energy sectors, and work on a variety of different project types.
Essential Functions of the Position:
As a qualified Millwright, you will be responsible for the operation, assembly/disassembly, alignment, installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of industrial and commercial equipment, operation of hoisting and lifting equipment, reading of blueprints, diagrams, and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.
- Candidates must have a valid 433A certificate of qualifications, registered with Skilled Trades Ontario.
- CWB Welding certificates considered an asset.
- Current Forklift, WAH and Elevated Work Platform certifications considered an asset.
- Must have a valid Driver’s License.

- Safe crane hoisting and rigging practices.
- Service, clean and perform preventative maintenance.
- Self-motivated individual.

- Highly reliable, punctual with a dedication to continuous improvement with proven leadership abilities.

Physical Capabilities and Work Environment
This is a physically demanding position. Millwrights must be able to:
- Lift 50lbs
- Stand for long periods
- Use their hands to control, handle and feel objects, tools and controls
- Twist and bend their body
- Conduct repetitive movements
- Kneel, stoop, crouch or crawl
- Climb ladders, scaffolds, general working at elevation.
Working Environment: Much of the time is spent in movement, elevated, in small spaces and/or large open spaces, with other equipment in operation around the working space. Work environments may be dirty, loud, or outdoors in various types of weather.
