You are required to understand current code regulations, read drawings and specifications and determine the layout of plumbing systems, water supply networks and wastewater drainage systems.

The Payroll Administrator is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of payroll for a workforce that includes unionized hourly field employees and salaried staff. This role supports a fast-paced EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction) environment and ensures compliance with collective agreements, provincial/federal regulations, and company policies.

The Payroll Administrator plays a critical role in maintaining payroll integrity across multiple projects, supporting field operations, and ensuring employees are paid correctly and on time.

Key Responsibilities

Payroll Processing (Full-Cycle)

• Process weekly payroll for union and non-union employees across multiple projects
• Review and validate time entries, job cost coding, and labour allocations
• Calculate wages including overtime, shift premiums, travel pay, per diems, and incentives
• Process payroll adjustments (retro pay, corrections, terminations, final pay)
• Maintain accurate payroll records and audit

Union & Collective Agreement Administration

• Interpret and apply collective agreements, including wage grids, premiums, and rules
• Calculate and remit union dues, benefit contributions, and fringe payments
• Ensure compliance with prevailing wage requirements and labour classification

Time & Attendance / Field Coordination

• Liaise with project managers, site supervisors, and field admins to verify hours, classifications, and approvals
• Manage time and attendance systems and resolve discrepancies

Employee Support & Issue Resolution

• Act as the primary point of contact for payroll inquiries

Qualifications & Experience

• Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
• 2–5+ years payroll experience, preferably in:
